About Us
The Beginning
Welcome to Ararat Childcare and Kinder Retreat (ACKR). Our centre is located in a culturally diverse and rapidly evolving areas. Our families come from nearby suburbs of Ararat.
The purpose built centre opened in 2020 and is privately owned and managed. We are licensed and registered for Child Care Benefits. Child Care Subsidy. Our Early Learning programs and quality care reflect and meet the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework.
Located in a quiet tree-lined street, our on-site car park has additional street parking making dropping off and picking up convenient for busy families.
Our three playrooms consist of Babies/toddler Room, Junior Room and Kindergarten. Our huge and recently renovated outdoor spaces offer the opportunity for the children to play and learn about themselves, nature, the growing of their own fresh produce and the fun of fresh air in an environment that is welcoming.

Our purpose built childcare centre provides care and education for all children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

We strive to work together to build and maintain trusting and respectful relationships with both children and families.
Our Team of Qualified Educators have been chosen to compliment our Service and bring to the service a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion that will enable us to provide you and your children a safe, nurturing environment during their Early Years Journey with Ararat Childcare & Kinder Retreat.
All Educators are Qualified with various years of experience, police checked have working with Children Checks, current first Aid and Child Protection Certificates.

Our professional team of educators ensure that your child will be cared for in a warm, welcoming and friendly environment so that your child will experience a great day of fun and learning!
All our nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by our own chef in our centre kitchen. We also provide bedding and sunscreen. Our educators and families work in partnership to ensure that children have a happy and productive time while at ACKR.
At our center, we employ and encourage environmentally sound and resourceful practices so that children become aware of their responsibility towards caring for our world both now and in the future.
